Dr. Seema Sehgal is a senior renowned Obstetrician and Gynaecologist from Delhi with a broad career span of over two decades. An alumnus of S P Medical College (Bikaner), Dr. Sehgal fulfilled her MBBS and MS qualifications from the given institute in the year 1988 and 1994 respectively. In 2000, Dr. Sehgal was awarded fellowship by the Indian Association of Medical Specialists which was subsequently followed by fellowships in advanced areas of Laparoscopy, Ultrasound and Infertility. Additionally, Dr. Sehgal also achieved a post graduate diploma in Hospital Management in the year 2007.
Dr. Seema embarked on her career as a Family Planning Officer at Dr. B L Kapur Memorial Hospital, New Delhi where she served briefly prior to joining DDU Hospital, New Delhi as a Senior Resident.
Dr. Seema's clinical practice is based on a holistic approach to medicine wherein she employs evaluative, diagnostic, modern and alternative methods in treating patients. Her specialized expertise lies in the area of Laparoscopic Gynecological surgeries, Operative Hysteroscopy, Traditional Abdominal and Vaginal Procedures and Disorders of the reproductive system. She applies her in-depth experience and high order skills in the management of high-risk pregnancies, surgeries and infertility treatments with optimal success. One can avail of her expertise at MKW Hospital & Research Centre (Delhi) where she is presently attached or may visit her private clinic where she is available in the evening hours.
Dr. Seema has dedicated her professional life towards the cause of improvement in women’s health and is extremely passionate about providing requisite and appropriate care to women. She nurtures a heartfelt desire in treating infertility patients who have to undergo social and psychological consequences associated with it. She has done her thesis in infertility with ‘Obstetrical Outcome of Infertile Women’ being her topic of research. She commenced her professional career by handling cases where infertile patients were helped in gaining fertility and they were assisted in delivering their children normally. She relentlessly strives to achieve great heights of excellence in her chosen profession, one of the principal goals in her life.
Dr. Seema is presently a Life member in reputed medical societies like AOGD, IAGE, NARCHI, IFS of India. Dr. Seema has strengthened her background in the IVF field through various national and overseas programs. These include formal training in Laparoscopy from IMA recognized AMS Centre (Sonipat) in the year 2000, Advance infertility management and IVF program from Sir Gangaram Hospital (New Delhi) in 2010 and Online Advanced IVF and Embryology certified courses from GFA Singapore.
In the year 2013, Dr. Seema founded her own centre and successfully executed many IVF treatments till June 2014. In July 2015, Dr. Seema travelled to Madrid (Spain) so that she could upgrade and hone her IVF skills. Dr. Seema has currently set up “It’s my baby” IVF centre at MKW Hospital where she spearheads operations as the Director, in-charge and Head of the IVF Department.
